Woody was born on January 28, 1961 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to Cathrine Dillon and Jim Phillips. He attended and graduated from Dillard High School. He went into the Air-Force and later worked as a Lineman for FPL and as a Phone Technician for AT&T. Woody was known for his love for the Lord, his ability to make a joke at any time in any situation, his ability to give you step by step directions to anywhere in South Florida, his sarcasm, and his love for wings, unsweetened tea, porcupine meatballs, and pumpkin pie. He loved his family and to him even if you were adopted into, married into, or close friends of the family, they were all his family.
Woody is survived by his wife Tammie Phillips; sisters Sandi, and Sharon; brothers JD, and Michael; children Melanie, Andrew, Stephen, Rachel, and Rebekah; and his grandchildren Trinity, Ziggy, Peyton, Kaylee, and Sofia. He was predeceased by Cathrine his mother, Jim his father, Karen his sister, Josh his son, and Jim Likens who was like a father to him.
