Beloved husband of Beverly Moncrieffe (née Sutherland) and devoted father of Orville Moncrieffe (Heather), Stuart Moncrieffe (Nurita), and Carla-Jean Moncrieffe (Luc Ouellette). Carl was a loving husband and cherished father, whose love and presence will forever be treasured by his family.
Carl is lovingly reunited with his parents, Alfred Moncrieffe and Rosa Moncrieffe (née Neil), and his brothers. He will be dearly remembered by his sisters and will live on in the hearts of his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Though his earthly journey has come to an end, the love, strength, and memories Carl leaves behind will continue to shine in the lives of all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love will remain a lasting source of comfort and strength for those he leaves behind.
As we remember Carl, may we find comfort in these words of Scripture: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7 NIV)
In keeping with Carl’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Lahaie & Sullivan Funeral Home – East Branch, located at 614 First Street East, Cornwall, Ontario. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Carl’s life.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
May his memory be a blessing, his love live on in the hearts of those he cherished, and may he rest peacefully.
