BINET, Elzear “Zed” ~ with family by his side, at his residence on Friday August 22, 2025 at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband and best friend for 59 years to Juliette (née Carriere) Binet. Loving father of Rachel (Ron). Cherished grandfather of Michelle Binet (Dave), Cory MacDonald-Binet and great grandfather of Cameron. Dear brother of Micheline Cardinal (Bob), Liliane Binette and brother-in-law Richard Carriere (Diane). He will be sadly missed by his chosen family Bill, Sheila, Matt (Andrea), Scott, Liam, Owen Duncan and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Hector Binette and Martine (née Carriere) Binette and his siblings infant brother Lucien, sisters Jacqueline Lalonde (late Roger), Jeannette Binette and Lise Primeau (the late Clarence). Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lahaie & Sullivan East Branch, 614 First Street East (613-933-2841). A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday September 13, 2025 in Nativity Co-Cathedrale at 11 a.m. Memorial Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
