

BURTON, Jeanne (Jean) Marie (née Montreuil), on Wednesday, January 15th, 2014, passed away peacefully at the Cornwall Hospice in her 88th year. Whether as a wife, parent, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, or friend, Jeanne touched many lives with a kind and generous spirit. Predeceased by her best friend and loving husband of 63 years, Howard Charles Burton. Jeanne is the loving mother of the late Carol Burton-Pearson (Douglas Pearson) of Cornwall, Philip of Ottawa and Brenda of Cornwall. Cherished and sadly missed grandmother of Warrant Officer Paul Levac (Heather St Louis) of Petawawa, Julie Levac (Jeffery Pilon) of Guelph, Marc Burton, Mélanie Burton (Christophe Guérin) and Patrick Théorêt (Taylor Kelly) of Ottawa. Jeanne is the great-grandmother of Caleb Levac, Jacob and Jenna Pilon and Maxime Guérin. Fondly remembered and cherished aunt to several nieces, nephews and her dear friends. Dear daughter of the late Albert Montreuil and the late Pearl Albery. Survived by her sisters Violette (the late Lionel Rodrigue), Beatrice (the late Albert Chenaille). Predeceased by her sisters, brothers and brothers/sisters-in-law, Gertrude (Lucien Chatigny), Véronique (George Lemieux), Evelyn, Irène (George Babcock), Bernadette (Gérald Leduc), Bernard, Aurèle (Lydia), Henri (Mildred) Gérald, Madelaine (Elie Latulippe). We wish to thank Dr. Bourcier, Dr. Laferrière and nurses for their extensive analysis, diagnosis, and medical treatments at the Emergency Care Unit of the Cornwall Community Hospital.
The family wish to express their sincere heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Mary Jane Randlett, the incredible team of nurses and staff including the volunteers at the Hospice Cornwall. The extraordinary level of compassion and dignified care given to Jeanne will always be remembered.
