Joyce (Hughes) Charbonneau

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Joyce Charbonneau at Glen Stor Dun Lodge, Cornwall, ON, on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at the age of 85 years, after a courageous 25 year battle with Parkinson Disease.

Reunited with her soul mate Claude Charbonneau who passed just three months ago.

Loving mother of Paul Charbonneau (Monique) and Sandra Perry (Chris). Cherished grandmother of Christian, Ashley, Tyler, Kathleen and Crystal. Proud great-grandmother of Emma and Jackson. Dear sister of Phyllis Jodoin (late Curtis) and Carol Hughes (Pat). Sadly missed and fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by her parents Richard and Clara (née Filion) Hughes, her son Marc Charbonneau and her brother Gerry Hughes (late Claire).

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the fourth floor nursing staff at Glen Stor Dun Lodge for the kind compassionate care.

As per Joyce's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, East Branch (613-933-2841).

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Parkinson Canada would be appreciated by the family.
