He was the beloved father of Cassandra Cote (Travis St. Denis) and a devoted grandfather to Sophia Love Cote-Bear, Adrien Ramsey Cote-Bear, Mia Frances St. Denis-Cote, Violet Terry St. Denis-Cote, and Jaxtin Michel St. Denis-Cote. Michel was also a dear brother to Louise Desforges (Jean-Yves Jeaurond), Julie Desforges (Daniel Burke), and Marc Desforges and uncle to Jacynthe and Mylène Renaud. Predeceased by his parents Leo Desforges and Madeleine (née Leger) Desforges.
Michel was an avid lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing camping and felt happiest when surrounded by nature and spending time with his grandchildren,
