Rita Duplantie (née Major) passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Tuesday January 20, 2026 at the age of 96 years. Beloved wife of the late Yvon Duplantie of 67 years. Predeceased by her parents Alfred and Elizabeth (Cuerrier) Major and her brother Roméo. Survived by her sister Juliette (Major) Paquette. Rita will be missed by nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home East Branch. In keeping with Rita’s wishes cremation has taken place.
