Roger Desforges

Born in Cornwall, Ontario on June 30th, 1949, Roger was the son of the late Rolland Desforges and Lucille Levac.

Roger shared a lifetime of love with his wife, Denise Desforges (née Lalonde), and was a devoted father to Gilles Desforges and Dan (Lindsay) Desforges. Nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with his beloved granddaughters, Olivia and Sophie, whom he was exceptionally proud of. He also leaves behind his brothers, Gerald Desforges, and Marcel (Diane) Desforges, and his sister, Diane (Bernard) Breton, along with many treasured memories.

Roger will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was a dedicated and hardworking employee at Domtar, where he worked for 36 years. Throughout his career, he built many lasting friendships and earned the respect of his colleagues through his strong work ethic, kindness, and loyalty.

In keeping with Roger’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes – East Branch (614 First St E, Cornwall) on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at St. Félix de Valois Church (620 Glengarry Blvd, Cornwall) at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow in the church hall reception centre.

Roger's memory will be treasured by his family and friends, and his legacy of love, dedication, and friendship will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society, and the Canadian Lung Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.
