Grandpa was a man of many talents and stories. Our favourite memories were when he would take us out on the boat for the afternoon and then we would spend the nights listening to him play his guitar and sing for us. Grandpa was such a kind and loving person, We are going to miss him very much.

So sorry to hear of Red's passing. Red was a great team player in Search and Rescue for Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary. I had the pleasure of being his Unit Commander for 25 years. He was always there when he was needed to lend a hand in rescue operations. Great story teller, great friend. I am happy to have spent some time with Red and Mabel around Christmas time.

Our deepest condolences to Mabel and the families, May you find comfort in the celebration of Red's very long life. Our prayers are with you all during these difficult times. Jeanne & Roger

I'm deeply saddened to hear of this news. I was honoured and very proud to have Vern as part of my officials team while I was with Boxing Ontario. Very was quite a character and loved telling us of stories when he fought and he was abroad. He connected well with everyone and was deeply loved. Truly a kind man. We'll miss you dearly RED!

Love to Steven, Kelly, Bonnie and Families

I just wanted to share my memory with Red, when we came for visits he would welcome me with open arms and sit and chat for a while. I would go up to visit him and we would chat about boxing, mass and just life. I won’t forget buying pizza and our delivery guy came up with in a corvette convertible we had such a huge laugh over that. Desserts now that’s a story I’m not much of a dessert girl but he has made me a believer!!! I love and will miss him very much. What a privilege to have gotten to know and be a part of his life!!! Love you all very much!! ❤️

Mable ,
So Sorry !
Please accept our condolences re his passing..
First thought that come to mind was Scottish Soldier song and how much Red put into his music .He certainly left a trail of great memories . First thing that comes to mind are the regularly schedule house parties. The guitar , violin , mandolin ,mouth organ sometimes the banjo occasional spoons .The band / their souls all together again their love of music will be enjoyed in the heavens .
I can just imagine the music and smiles above.
Time and memories to heal , and You have so many ,
