Joyce Gwendoline Racicot

She will be fondly remembered for her quick wit, strong will and bone-crushing hugs, she loved her hugs with family.

Joyce was predeceased by the love of her life, Bob. She is survived by her daughters: Lynn (Rob) Janice (Bob), Roberta (Barrie), Cheryl (Steve), and Heather (Ralph). Joyce was also a cherished grandmother to 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Bob’s military career brought many postings throughout Canada and Europe, taking Joyce and their family on many adventures. Wherever they called home, family & friends were always at the heart of their lives.

Joyce treasured time spent with her family. She enjoyed knitting and baking, and she always had cookies ready whenever someone came to visit. She also enjoyed being outside in the yard gardening.

For the past 24 years Joyce has been back in the Comox Valley living in Valley Vista Estates where she enjoyed her neighbours and beautiful views of the mountains.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Hoselton, Dr. Reggler, the staff at North Island Hospital–Comox Valley, and the Home Care Nurses for the kind and attentive care they provided to her.

At Joyce's request there will be a Family gathering to celebrate her long life.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
