Judith Ann Charlebois

For more than 30 years, Judith worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital, where her dedication, compassion and generous nature touched the lives of countless patients, families and colleagues. She gave wholeheartedly—not only through her work, but in every part of her life.

Judith was happiest with a golf club in her hand, tending to her garden or filling a room with music. She loved playing the banjo, ukulele and harmonica, and she was always ready to sing. Her music brought people together and reflected the joyful, spirited way she lived.

She possessed a wicked sense of humour and an unforgettable ability to make others laugh. Fiercely loyal, deeply loving and generous to a fault, Judith gave freely of herself and made the people she loved feel safe, supported and cherished.

Judith is survived by her loving daughter, Elizabeth Sharma; her cherished granddaughter, Anjali Sharma; and her siblings, Pauline, Gerard Charlebois and his partner, Sarafin, Margaret Boorman and her husband, Brian, and Walter and his wife, Donna.

Judith will be remembered for her strength, warmth, laughter and music, as well as the kindness she extended to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her absence leaves an immeasurable space in the hearts of those who loved her, but her spirit will live on—in every garden that blooms, every song that is played and every story that ends in laughter.

She was deeply loved and will be missed more than words could ever express.

A visitation will be held at Piercy's-Mt. Washington Funeral Home, 440 England Ave, Courtenay, BC, V9N2N1, CA, on August 26, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
