Norma Elizabeth Prokopetz

Raised on a farm in rural Saskatchewan, Norma was the oldest daughter in a family of eight. From those early years, she carried forward a steady work ethic and a generous spirit—qualities that would remain at the centre of her life and the way she cared for others.

In Humboldt, Norma owned a fabric store with her sister Bernice, bringing both skill and diligence to her work. She later served as a day care supervisor for many years, a role that reflected her compassionate nature and the quiet, consistent kindness she offered so freely.

Norma was married for 72 years to Ed, and together they built a family that was deeply cherished. She is lovingly remembered by her children Glenna(Kevin), Darrell(Monique), and Michael (Amanda); her grandchildren Chelsea, Nicholas, Jordan, and Mia; and her great-grandchildren Levi, Ashton, and Quinn.

A gifted and amazing seamstress, Norma found joy in creating and in sharing what she made with care. She also enjoyed golf and shuffleboard, and for 20 years looked forward to yearly trips to Arizona. Those who knew her will remember the warmth of her presence—always with a smile—and the way she loved to dance, especially to country music. And, to many, her cinnamon buns were simply the best: “EPIC.”

Norma will be remembered with gratitude and respect, and with enduring affection by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
