

Patricia was born on October 13, 1936, at 73 Roundtable Road, Catford, England, to James John and Marjorie Helen Mahoney. She was one of nine children. In 1949, she immigrated to Canada aboard the RMS Aquitania to join her war bride sisters, they ventured to Calgary, where most resided.
In 1976, Patricia and her beloved husband, Stuart, moved to Vancouver Island, where they made their home for the next 50 years.
Patricia was devoted to her faith, her family, and the beauty of nature. She found joy in gardening, flowers, animals, and long walks. She was known for her kind heart, daily prayers, and deep love for those around her.
She was predeceased by her parents; her siblings Joan (John), Eileen (Harry), Brian, Dennis (Bernice), Brenda (Chris), Theresa (Svend), and Martin (Faye); and her daughter Lisa and many nieces and nephews.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Stuart; her children Colleen, Carolyn (Lee), Vi-Anne (Darren), and honorary daughter Diane; her grandchildren Amanda (Dave), Jennafer (Matt), Brad (Kelsey), Brian (Kristy), and Emily (Tommy); her great-grandchildren Brasen, Landon, Kierra, Myla, Bentley, Addison, Oaklen, Noah, and Reid; her sister, Margaret Mary Tothe; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Piercy's Funeral Home, followed by interment at Courtenay Civic Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to return to Piercy's Funeral Home afterward for refreshments and a light lunch.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Stephen Nap, the Home Care Team, and the ambulance driver who had the perfect gift for Patricia.
