He was born in Comox and lived his entire life here in the Comox Valley, and Black Creek area.
He worked for many years for his sister Margaret Douglas in the city, doing lawn maintenance. He was a hard worker, and had a wonderful witty sense of humor.
In his later years his life was more difficult, and he is at rest now.
Predeceased by his parents Franz and Herta Obexer and his sister Margaret. Survived by his sister Irene Brabazon and his nephew Mikal Birtwistle/Jen, Alexandra and Josephine.
A Graveside Service will take place at Black Creek Cemetery, 2230 Ployart Rd, Black Creek, British Columbia, on September 11, 2026, at 12:00 pm; friends welcome.
