Adolph Mitchell Sabik

Adolph M. Sabik, age 83, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on January 4, 2026. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dana; sons, Geoffrey and John (Ayu) Sabik; grandchildren, Joshua Sabik, Ariel (Timothy) Taylor, Justus Sabik, Jasmine Sabik, Janine Sabik, Jamile Sabik, Adam Sabik, and M.J. Sabik; and sister, Adriane "DeeDee". Adolph was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph Joseph and Anna Sabik.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8th, 2026, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 9th at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Adolph spent his entire working life serving the Hammond School System, teaching both elementary and middle school students with patience, dedication, and heart. He took time with every student, making each one feel seen and important, and his impact reached far beyond the classroom. Known as the person everyone could turn to, he was the go-to guy for fixing problems, offering guidance, or simply listening when someone needed to talk. An inspiration to many, he touched countless lives through his kindness, wisdom, and steady presence. The memories so many hold of him will continue to live on, a lasting testament to the difference he made in the lives of others.
