Andy is the loving husband to the late Kay Armstrong; beloved father to Merlin Armstrong, Jamie (Pam) Armstrong, Jodie (John Zaemisch) Armstrong, Debbie Armstrong, Shellie (Leonard) Thompson, Darl Armstrong, Sherri (Barry) Braden, Randy (Mendy) Armstrong, and the late Troy Manley; proud grandfather and great-grandfather to many; cherished brother and uncle to several.
Andy retired as a civil engineer for the railroad industry after more than 40 years of service. He was an avid hunter and was well known in Cedar Lake for his deer processing services. Andy was a member of the Eagles of Cedar Lake for many years. He and his wife, Kay, enjoyed camping, especially on the Tippecanoe River in Buffalo, IN. Andy was also an avid and talented gardener.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of his Funeral at 1:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. He will be laid to rest next to his wife at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
