Calogera is survived by her devoted husband of 75 years, Gioacchino; and their children, Carmelo (Vincenza Cassisi) Rizzo, Pasqua Lena (Danny) Anastasia, Vincenzo (Mary Cubr) Rizzo, and Alberto (Cheryl Ivey) Rizzo. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Gioacchino, Gina, Anthony, Phillip, Francesco, and Alexander. Calogera will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
A visitation to honor Calogera Rizzo will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 10:00 AM, followed by entombment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
The family invites donations in Calogera’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Hospitals for Children, or Save the Children.
