Danny Sipp

DANNY SIPP Danny Sipp, age 61, passed away on June 9, 2014. Danny was born December 17, 1952 to Irma Sipp and Dan Sipp in New Orleans, LA. Danny lived in Gary, Indiana for over 34 years and was a dedicated and hardworking crane man at Arcelor Mittal for a number of years. Danny was a member of the Army and was discharged from service in August of 1978. Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Sipp; his three daughters: Gena Moss-Watson (Greg Watson), Gretchen Sipp and Erica Sipp; his grandchildren: Alan Watson, and Andrew Watson, Elan Watson, and Danielle Sipp. He is also survived by his two siblings: Linda Avrett and Cynthia Sipp-Davis; and a host of nephews and nieces. Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Irma J. Sipp; and his brother, Benny Ray Sipp. Danny was a skilled carpenter, building his home with his hands. He was an avid fisherman, bowler, and dancer. He loved to sing and had a knack for making those around him laugh from their souls. He will be greatly missed. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday June 21, 2014 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (219-365-9554) 8178 South Cline Ave., Schererville, IN 46375. Visitation will be Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home.
