

David was born in Hammond, IN on July 1, 1971, to Jessie "Neva" Lacy and the late James Lacy. He is survived by fiancée, Jo Ann Ortiz; children, Justine (Daniel) Michielsen and Jacob Lacy; granddaughter, Josephine Wooley; sister, Patricia Daniels; nephews, James (Nikki) Linvill, Mikhail (Kim) Daniels, and Joseph (Christine) Linvill; great-nieces, Alex Linvill and Anaya Daniels; great-nephews, Khailen Daniels, Seth Linvill, and "soon to be" Freddy Linvill. David was preceded in death by his father, James Lacy; and sister, Cheryl Lacy-Linvill.
David attended Griffith High School. He loved and praised his Lord at New Creation Ministry Church in Highland, IN. He loved his family and friends dearly and was known to never have met a stranger. His passion for cars, fishing, pizza, and the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears kept him busy outside of work. He lived life to the fullest and will forever be remembered.
Visitation will take place on Monday, October 2, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. Additional time to visit with the family will take place on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service, beginning at 11:30 AM. Pastor Jose Burgos will officiate. Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in the Garden of Christus.
