.David Bruce Williams, age 66, of Schererville, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2015 at St. Francis Healthcare of Indianapolis with his loving family at his side. Bruce was born August 4, 1949 in Hammond, Indiana to the late LaVern and Virginia Williams. Also preceding in death is a former spouse Glenna Williams.Left to cherish his memory are his children, Stacy Williams (Joe Broadaway), David Williams, Corrie (David) Bernard, James (Julie) Williams;grandchildren, Jay, Tyler, Brooke, Jade, Colin, Chloe, Karlee, Emma, and Katelyn; brother, Terry (Linda) Williams and a former spouse Lori Dziaden.Mr. Williams was a 1968 Griffith High School graduate. He was a meat cutter for Strack & Van Till for over 35 years, working mainly in Schererville. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 66 in Griffith. Bruce was an avid fisherman, golfer and a talented singer. Memorial services will be Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 7pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave; Schererville, Indiana 46375).
