

Diane was born April 15, 1949 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Walter and Frances Dittrich. Also preceding her in death are brothers-in-law Richard and Robert Bochenek.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband for almost 50 years, Michael Bochenek Sr.; children, Michael (Renee) Bochenek Jr., Walter (Stephanie) Bochenek, Tina (Jeremy) Partain, Eric Bochenek; grandchildren, Alyssa, Brian, Dakota, Cara, Bradley (Courtnee), Kayla, Olivia (Ryan), Tyler, James, Anahlise, Addisyn, Alexander, Abel, and Zachary; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Darlene (Edward) Kielbasa, Nancy Bochenek, Linda (Wayne) Shinkle, Cindy (Donald) Cross, and Debbie (Philip) Anderson; brother, Walter "Bud" (Rosie) Dittrich; brother-in-law, Marion (late Barbara) Bochenek; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Diane is a 1967 graduate of Hammond Tech High School. She and her husband raised their children in the Hessville area where she was very active in the Hessville Little League. Diane was a faithful member of St. Edward Church of Lowell. She began working at Ribordy's Drug Store, which later merged with Walgreens. Diane was an avid bowler and participated in many bowling leagues. In her retirement years, she enjoyed crocheting, crafting, and facebooking with gaming friends from all over the world. Diane's generosity overflowed with love towards her husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends. She was a selfless caregiver to many generations of her family, including her brother-in-law Jr.
