John Tortolano

John was born December 22, 1923 in Chicago, IL to the late Antonio and Angelina Tortolano. Also preceding him in death are his loving wife, Theresa ( nee Bombagetti); loving daughter, Beverly Tortolano; siblings, Nata, Sate, and Neene.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Diane (Frank) Strug, Barbara (Paul) Lukso, John (Cindy) Tortolano Jr., Bobby (Susie) Tortolano; 12 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.

Mr. Tortolano honorably served in the United States Army/Air Force during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He was a member and worked for Union Local #744, serving in the beverage delivery industry for over 38 years.

The Tortolano family were member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Roseland, IL. John was an avid golfer, playing mostly at Burnham Woods Country Club and a Bowler, playing at Skyway Bowl in Chicago and Castaway's in Calumet City. He was also a talented pinochle player, and enjoyed casinos at the craps table and video poker.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 4-8 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Ave.; Schererville, Indiana 46375). Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 10:30 am at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
