Jonathan A. Guzman

Jonathan A. Guzman, age 15, of St. John, IN, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2012. He is survived by his loving parents: Daniel and Maria Guzman; siblings: Daniel A. Guzman, Jr., Isabella M. Guzman and Diego D. Guzman; grandparents: Francisco and Celia Guzman, and Manuel Manzo; aunts and uncles: Francisco (Laura) Guzman, Monica Guzman, Miguel (Aracelli) Guzman, Edith (Abigael) Lozano, Manuel Manzo, Margarita (Daniel) Rodriguez, Michael (Linda) Manzo, Joe (Becky) Manzo and Sara (Michael) Connolly; cousins: Crystal and Francisco, Miguel Jr., Marcos and Damian, Daniel Jr., Gerardo, Arianna, Paula, Alliyah, Michael Jr., Devin, and Malina. Jon will miss and will always love his girlfriend, Demi J. McDaniel. Preceded in death by his grandmother, Lucy Manzo; and cousin, Raymie Michelle. Jonathan was a sophomore at Lake Central High School. He was a member of the Spectrum Club, Science Olympiad, former Lake Central Barracuda, and participated in theatre at Clark. Jonathan was an AWESOME guy - smart, funny and always willing to help. He loved making people laugh and smile. He had great character and was his daddy's right hand man. Jon brought so much joy to his family. You couldn't ask for a better big brother to his little brother and sister and best friend to his older brother Daniel. He was a leader to all who crossed his path. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Ave., Schererville, IN) with Reverend Patrick Kalich officiating. Interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Sunday, December 2, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Donations may be made to Jonathan's Memorial Fund at any Centier Bank.
