Joseph Max Nutley, age 25, of Schererville, IN passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016. He is survived by his father, Joseph Nutley; mother, Mandy (Dennis Leahy) Nutley; brother, Joe Leahy; two sisters: Julia and Jessica Leahy; paternal grandmother, Lois Nutley; maternal grandparents: Charles and Ria (Opa and Oma) Hubner; and numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Ellen Nutley. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave. (one-half mile south of U.S. 30) Schererville, IN with Pastor Gerry Alaniz of Restoration House officiating. Cremation will follow service. Friends are invited to meet with the family Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 2:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. (time of service) at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Joseph was currently employed as a welder-fabricator with Elgin Sweeping Services in Chicago, IL. He was an avid fisherman and drummer.
