Lois was born on April 16, 1950 in Hammond, IN to the late Glenn and Pauline Dawson. She married James Barbick on March 4, 1970. They had two beautiful children together, James R. (Ariel) Barbick, Jr. and David A. (Ivette) Barbick. She is survived by her grandchildren, Miles Barbick, Jeremy Barbick, and Isaiah Barbick; and her brother, Glenn Dawson, Jr.
Lois was a devout Christian. She was a homemaker for most of her life and she had various part-time jobs. She was committed to caring deeply for her family and was an avid animal lover. Lois and James shared many great moments country line dancing together and attending country music concerts.
