Lois Eenigenburg

Ann Lois Eenigenburg, 92 years of age, from Cedar Lake Indiana, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 10, 2023. She was born in Roseland, Illinois to Howard and Dora (Kuiken) Groen on July 22, 1930.
She attended Roseland Christian Elementary followed by Illiana Christian High School.
She is survived by her faithful, loving husband of 71 years, Francis Peter Eenigenburg. They were committed to Christ, family and Church. Francis and Lois's children include Brenda (Bruce) Cornell, preceded in death by Keith (Sandi now married to Larry Spender) Eenigenburg, Kevin (Kathy) Eenigenburg, Lorilee (Lewis Deceased) Dekker, Timothy (Lori) Eenigenburg. Her grandchildren are: Emily (Nate) Bush, Erin (Alexander) Marcus, Benjamin (Janine) Cornell, Phillip (Cassi) Eenigenburg, Andrew (Annaleah) Eenigenburg, Jessica (Jordan) Hoekstra, Denise (Vincent) Kooy, Joel (Tabitha) Eenigenburg, Alyssa (deceased) Eenigenburg, Seth (Brittany) Eenigenburg, Zachary Eenigenburg, Kyle Eenigenburg, Jason (Wendy) Dekker, Jamie (Curt) Lucas, Jeffrey (Ashley) Dekker, Krystle Eenigenburg, Joshua (Christie) Eenigenburg, Kellsey (Brent) Bultema.
Lois's siblings include Frank, deceased (JoAnn) Groen, Robert (Geri) Groen deceased, Howard Jr. (Barb) deceased Groen, Kenneth, deceased (Geri) Groen, James (Greta) Groen, Judy (Hans, deceased) Mejan, Evelyn (Max) Mejan, Cheryl (Richard) Zimmerman.
Her siblings by marriage, and good neighbors for many years include Ethel (Gerrit) DeVries, deceased, Lester (Grace) Eenigenburg, deceased, Evelyn (Claude) Swart, deceased, Lois (Nicholas) Brink, deceased, Kenneth (Evelyn) Eenigenburg, deceased.
Lois also had many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Her church family was Community United Reformed Church.
She was a loving wife and mother with a servant heart. She was a prayer warrior, who prayed daily for her family including 52 great-grandchildren. She loved others well, especially when serving them food. There were always extra people around her dinner table. Lois loved the Psalms, memorizing them as she did her daily tasks. Her faith in Christ was very evident in her life.
A public visitation for Lois will be held Monday, March 13, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Community United Reformed Church, 8405 Alexander Street, Schererville, IN 46375. A funeral service in her honor will occur Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 9:30 AM at Community United Reformed Church. Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in the Garden of Freedom.
