Many people will remember her for many different reasons, but no one can dispute the influence she held over her children and grandchildren. All of her descendants now carry a piece of her inside of themselves.
She was a strong, beautiful, graceful, novel, and loving woman and she will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her husband, Raul Torres Sr.; by her children, Elizabeth (Javier) Chavez, Maria (Kevin, deceased) Scanlon, Raul Torres Jr., Gilbert Torres, Rubin (Susan) Torres, Sandra (William) Stahlke, and Yolanda (John) Yarusinsky; by her grandchildren Elisa (Jeff) Rhodes, Angela (Chris) Herrera, Nichole (Patrick) Hurley, Yvonne Guillermo, Nick Torres, William Stahlke IV, Steven Yarusinsky, James Stahlke, Michael Yarusinsky, Latatyana Torres; and by her many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday the 25th of April from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave. in Schererville, IN with a memorial service to follow. Burial services will be held privately at a later date.
