MARIETTA MANTIS (NEE HUBBARD) RENSSELAER, IN FORMERLY OF GRIFFITH, IN Marietta Mantis, age 76, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2013. She is survived by her loving children: Cheryl (William) Leffler (nee Johnson), Andy Mantis and Tom (Ellen) Mantis; dear grandchildren: Corrie, Lindsey, Hayley, Kyle, Cassandra, Anthony, Jeremy, and Nicholas; great grandmother of six; dear sister of Susan (Allan) Peiffer and Cindy (Doug) Kostel. Preceded in death by her husband Gus; son, Mark Johnson; and siblings: Viviene Dennison, Harmon Hubbard, and Gregory Hubbard. Marietta dedicated her life to her family. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved her dog Hayley. She always enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports and also loved reading. Marietta will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Ave., Schererville, IN) with Pastor Tom Shanahan officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Interment Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
