Marilyn D Goodman Cody

MARILYN D. CODY CROWN POINT, IN Marilyn D. Cody, age 83, of Crown Point peacefully passed away at home on Sunday, May 15, 2011. She was born March 4, 1928 in Greene County, IN to Joseph Lemuel Goodman and Anna Odessa (Moody) Goodman. She lived for 54 years at her home in Crown Point and retired in 1990 after 23 years of service at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in Dyer. Survivors include her son, Dean (Susan) Cody; daughter, Anne Cody (Jack Junttila), and four grandchildren: Keith C. VanWinkle, Laura (Robert) DePyssler, Matthew Junttila, and Kara Junttila. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Ruth Watson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Marilyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Marie Cody in 1984; her brother, Robert Goodman; and seven sisters: Nina Killion, Ester Mowery, Irene Sampson, Vesta (Beck) Wools, Velma Phegley, Doris Wymer, and Lavern Corwin. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 27, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home located at 8178 Cline Avenue (one-half mile south of US 30) Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be private.
