I went to Giovanni’s in Munster with my grandpa every Wednesday because they had fresh muscles that day. He only wanted fresh muscles!! We drank wine. We did laundry. We watched young Frankenstein every Wednesday. I miss you grandpa. You are always in my heart.

Dick and Tom,
Our lives will not be the same without Dad in it.  He was always the life of the party.  So many stories were told about him and by him.  He loved wholeheartedly and was loved by many.  I will miss his humor and passion for life.  Many a tear will be shed for the loss of this man.  May he rest in peace with Mom.  L'Chayim Dad!!

My sincere condolences.  I remember your father as a high spirited person with a zest for life.

My sympathies to Richard's family. He is remembered as a talented man with a zest for life. He was a great story teller and his tales of Cuba were my personal favorite. The summer my bird died,my husband was on a boat trip. Richard graciously took me out on his sail boat, to offer my bird a proper burial...Richard made me smile,I wont forget him.

  Our deepest sympathies to Richard's family.  He was our free spirit and close friend who we shared many great times together.  We will miss him deeply but we are happy that he is reunited with his love of his life, Ruth.  God bless you Richard and may you rest in peace.

i researched "joie de vivre" and saw schultz's picture next to the phrase.  what a beautiful, well written obituary for a beautiful, well rounded man!  i haven't been able to look at a seagull without thinking of richard for 30 years.  may his spirit soar through the heavens as his person did on earth.  my deepest sympathies to the family on the loss of a man who was so special and unique.  he will be remembered and missed by many.
