Robert L. Walker

Robert L. Walker, age 90, passed away peacefully, Monday, December 11, 2017. He is survived by three beloved daughters; Cheryl (Rich) Allison, Denisa (Kevin) Margraf and Laura (Sam) Biscuso; daughter in law, Laura Barney-Walker; nine grandchildren: Heath (Alicia) Allison, Robert L. Walker, Danielle Carlino-Newton, Jason (Melissa) Allison, Anthony (Jackie) Walker, Courtney (John) Doughty, Michael R. Biscuso, Jake (Laurel) Margraf and Zachary A.H. Biscuso; thirteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Wesley Harmon; and many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 71 years, Geraldine (nee Harmon) Walker; cherished son, Terry Walker; parents: Charles and Louise (nee McClaren); and eleven siblings. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 15, 2017, at 12:00 Noon at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 S. Cline Ave. (one-half mile south of U.S. 30) Crown Point. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Friday, December 15, 2017 from 9:00 a.m-12:00 p.m. (time of service) at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Robert honorably served in the United States Army overseas with the Asiatic Pacific Theater of Operations. Mr. Walker retired from the Hammond Police Dept. as a Lieutenant after 33 proud years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Hammond F.O.P. #51. Robert and his wife, Geraldine were active past members of Woodmar Church of God in Hammond. They were honored spending time serving others through the church food pantry. Most importantly, Robert was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and loved his family. He will be greatly missed by all who love him.
