Rodney Steven McCuan

Rodney is the loving father to Hayley McCuan, Matthew McCuan and the late Coty Steven McCuan; step-father to Christopher Deruntz; cherished brother to Mitchell McCuan, Rob (Dee) McCuan, Susan (Kenny Faust) Slyconish, Sandi (Mike) Spencer; loving uncle to many; devoted son to the late Wayne and Sandra McCuan; special nephew to Rick Krueger, Charles (Camille) Krueger, Judith Ross and Lori Petralia.

Rodney was a crane operator at US Steel for 28 years. He was a loyal and avid New England Patriots fan, even naming his dog, Brady. He was a lover of music and enjoyed sharing his genre of songs with people and dance. His motto was live, laugh, love and lived by that quote. He will always be remembered making people laugh and making them feel better. He never met a stranger and people were magnetized to his sense of humor and personality. His generosity will never be forgotten, his last generous gift after his death was donating organs for others.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 10:00 am until the time of his funeral at 1:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Ave.; Crown Point, IN 46307). He will be laid to rest in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
