Ronald E. McDaniel

Ron was born July 17, 1960 in East Chicago, IN to the late Maymie Amelia Gernenz McDaniel and Rufus Lewis McDaniel. Ron was a 1978 graduate of Merrillville High School. He enjoyed hiking at the Indiana Dunes, playing Ping-Pong, bean bags, and many other activities with family and friends. He loved playing horseshoes with his dad, in which they won many trophies over the years. Ron always looked forward to seeing his niece and nephew. He was a Chicago Cubs, White Sox, Bulls and Bears fan. Ron will be remembered for his great smile, friendly personality and amazing memory. He always enjoyed meeting new people.

Ron is survived by his brother, Gerald (Christine) McDaniel of Danville, IN; niece, Nichole McDaniel-Gordon (Ben Gordon) of Laguna Niguel, CA; nephew, Jeffrey (Roxanne) McDaniel of Brownsburg, IN; and great-nephews, Tanner and Levi McDaniel. His is preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Maymie McDaniel.

A Visitation for Ron will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 1:00 PM until the time of his Funeral at 2:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46347. He will be laid rest in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
