Shirley Marie Grimm

She was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline LaPointe; father, Arthur Tragnitz; her husband, Louis Grimm; sister, Sandra (Owen) Wentworth; brother, Donald (Elsie) Tragnitz; brother, Richard (Melody) Tragnitz; grandson, Jeremy Jacobs; and brothers-in-law, William (Dorothy) Grimm and Robert (Evie) Grimm.

Shirley is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia (Wayne) Kwallek and Therese (Scott) Emil; and her four sons, Kenneth (Tok Chong) Grimm, Steven (Irene Mrumlinski) Grimm, Gregory (Elizabeth Johnsen) Grimm, and Matthew (Patricia Poulsen) Grimm; 17 grandchildren, James (Kelly Klassen) Jacobs, Cherry (Robert) Taylor, Jamison Jacobs, Daniel Grimm, Samuel (Marta Zukowski) Grimm, Steve Grimm, Regina (Thomas) Rindfuss, Brian (Cheyenne Cook) Grimm, Darren (Brita Jasinski) Grimm, Alexander Grimm, Elaine Grimm, Clarissa (Rob) Slowik, Emily Grimm, Ashley (Scott) Groat, Kelly (Drew) Williams, Jonah Emil, and Bailey Emil; and 16 great-grandchildren, Killian Grimm, Gemma Grimm Karigan Grimm, Jade Jacobs, Amber Jacobs, Thomas Kagarise, Leilan Grimm, Samantha Grimm, Penelope Slowik, Clyde Groat, Eleanor Williams, Oscar Williams, Freddy Grimm, Zoey Grimm, Emma Grimm, and Lucy Grimm.

Shirley devoted her life to her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. A Memorial Visitation will be held at St. Michael Parish, 1 West Wilhelm Street, Schererville, IN 46375 on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass at 10:30 AM.
