Thaddeus Wallace

Ted was the loving husband of 34 years to the late Kay Wallace; beloved stepfather to Mark Lawson and Lisa Kristek; proud grandfather to Jennifer (Dave Jelenski) Mroz, Stephanie (Nick Horn) Mroz, Monica (Mike) Griener, and Danielle (Jason) Jendres; great-grandfather of eight; devoted son to the late Chester and Stephanie Wallace; cherished brother to Bruce (Jackie) Wallace; and dear uncle to Brian Wallace.

Ted honorably served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He is a 1976 graduate of Indiana University. Ted served his Lake County community as an insurance agent with the Rothschild Agency for over 30 years. After retirement, he enjoyed working part-time at Franciscan Hospital in Munster as a valet. Ted and his wife, Kay, enjoyed traveling together and exploring new places. He was a 46-year gold member of the Gary Sportsman's Club, and recently enjoyed attending and socializing at his club in the past year. Ted never met a stranger. He extended his friendship to many and was famous for maintaining his friendship for years. He will be missed by all who loved him.

Visitation will be Monday, October 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of his Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. He will be laid to rest next to his wife at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
