Rhéal Vautour

4 November, 194820 October, 2020

It is with great sadness that we, the family of Rhéal Vautour, announce that he passed away peacefully on October 20, 2020 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at 71 years of age.

Born in Dalhousie, NB, Rhéal was the son of the late Nazaire Vautour and Mary Martha (“Bertha”) Flynn. He was the proud father of Mark Vautour and proudest grandfather of Olivia and Alexis Vautour.

Rhéal had a tremendous amount of love for his two granddaughters, Olivia and Alexis, in which he cherished so dearly. He also had much love for his family and friends and would always be available to give a lending hand to help those in need.

His passions of hockey and classic cars were evident throughout his many years of involvement within those communities as a proud classic car club member and enthusiast and an overall superfan of local hockey. Rhéal will be greatly missed at hockey games and at classic car shows and events, where he established many great friendships and memories.

He is survived by his son, Mark Vautour(Stacey) and his grandchildren Olivia and Alexis Vautour. He is also survived by two sisters, Rachelle Vautour of Dalhousie,NB, and Irene Eddy(Lorin) of Dalhousie, NB. Four brothers, Donald Vautour(Denise)of Dalhousie, NB, Gerald Vautour(Tina) of Dalhousie, NB, Albert Vautour (Georgina) of Point la Nim, NB, and Robert Vautour(Isabelle)of Campbellton, NB. He was also blessed with many special nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Jeannette Targett.

We would like to extend our gratitude to all of the ICU Doctors, Nurses and staff at the Campbellton Regional Hospital for the great compassion and care they provided.

A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.

Rheal was a friend of my sister Kathy for many years. Our family became friends with him and are deeply saddened by your loss. He was a special man with a great smile and laugh. His family was number one..he was so proud of them. Anytime I saw him... he was pulling out his photos to show me his family. He will be missed. My most sincere condolences to Mark and all the Vautour family during this difficult time.
I was fortunate to meet Rhéal many years ago when he worked at the mill. We remained friends ever since.
He was always good natured and good humored. A quiet gentleman that loved, and was loved by, his family very much.
He will most certainly be missed by his family and throughout the community by his many friends.
RIP Rhéal.
