

Born on Christmas day, 1930 in Schenectady, New York, Anne lived a long and remarkable life marked by service, resilience, and devotion to her family and faith. She proudly served in the United States Air Force as a radio repairwoman and later as a recruiter, contributing her skill and determination during a pivotal era. Following her military service, she built a career as a loan officer with the Long Beach City Employees Federal Credit Union, where she was known for her integrity, professionalism, and care for the community she served.
Anne was a cradle Episcopalian and in 1997, when she and family moved to Texas, she found her spiritual home at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. She was an active and dedicated member, giving her time and talents in support of the church and its mission. Her faith remained a constant source of strength and purpose throughout her life.
Anne was married three times and is preceded in death by her husbands Thomas Johnson and Frank Brown, and Robert Van Dyke. She is survived by her children, Melody Newburn, Guy Brown, and Michael Brown; and by her grandchildren, Alexis Carpenter, Nicholas Brown, Catlin Brown, and Todd Brown. She will be remembered for her sharp mind and wit, generous heart, and unwavering love for her family.
A memorial service celebrating Anne’s life will be held on January 9, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in McKinney, Texas.
