

Calvin Todd passed away September 13, 2015, in Plano, TX at the age of 58 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was gifted to this world on November 18, 1956 to Harry and Sarah Todd in Riverhead, NY. He spent his childhood in North Carolina where he graduated from Goldsboro High School, class of 1975 and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill prior to serving his country for 12 year in the United State Air Force. Calvin is survived by his loving wife, Ginger Todd; son, Terrence Johnson; step son, Ethan Fagg; mother, Sarah Todd; brothers, Deron Todd and wife Wilma, Kirk Todd and wife Lolita, and Dexter Bunn; sisters, Valerie Jones and husband Charles, and Amy Todd; sister in law Renita Todd; a host of nieces and nephews; 11 great nieces and nephews; along with many other family and friends. He is preceded by his father, Harry Todd and brother, Jeffrey Todd. Calvin was a personal trainer and passionate about sports and fitness. He was the state High School wrestling champion and played football throughout High School. He was also proud to point out his membership in the National Honor Society while in high school. Calvin held numerous titles in body building including 1990 European Bodybuilding Champion and he competed in the 1986 NPC National Bodybuilding Championship. He was an avid table tennis player who competed twice as a National Table Tennis Finalist. Calvin was a talented photographer who had an eye to capture things that others could not see. A special thank you is sent to Dr Vikas Bhusan, Katie Sellers, PA and the staff at Texas Oncology Medical City who so diligently cared for Calvin. A celebration of Calvin’s life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
