Duane was born on October 1, 1939, to Edward and Laura Rethmeier in Julesburg, Colorado. Throughout his life, he exemplified dedication and commitment, both on the lanes and in his interests. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward, and mother, Laura as well as his newborn sister Delores. His enduring love and support enriched the lives of his sister, Elaine Gerk, surviving sons, Adam Miller (Alecia) and Scott Rethmeier, and his surviving daughter, Kathy Adam, his grandchildren, Ilea Salamone, Nicole Heffron, Breanne Little, Chance Padgett (Kimberly Carter), Damien, Samantha, and Cody Rethmeier, Hannah and Abbie Miller, and great-grandchild Atreus Padgett. Duane's compassion, wisdom, and unwavering love will continue to inspire and guide them in the years to come.
