Leon lived a full life of happiness and joy, which was contagious to those around him. His sense of humor and ability to make anyone smile left an impression among friends and family alike that still carries on even after his passing.
In his retirement years, he moved to Frisco, Texas to be close to his children and grandchildren. There, he and his wife Nancy were invaluable in helping raise their grandchildren with rides to appointments, school pick-ups, homework help, cooked meals, and anything else they needed. Leon was always on call for his grandkids! Leon’s favorite things to do were to play dominoes with his grandsons, have his granddaughters over for sleepovers and games, host get togethers for birthdays and holidays, watch his grandkids perform in band and theatre, and anything else that revolved around family activities.
Leon was shopping with his wife the morning of October 30, 2024 when he suddenly collapsed. Despite the efforts of EMT’s and a Samaritan sent from God, he was unable to be revived, and was reunited with his parents, JC and Irene Morrison, and his brothers, Larry and Norman. He is survived by his wife Nancy, sister Mary Ellen RIst, daughters Lisa Bendickson and husband Buck, Terri Baker and husband Brad, and son Eric Morrison and wife MIsty. He is survived by grandchildren Jordan Baker and wife Amber, Landon Baker and wife Robyn, Adam Baker, Ethan Baker, Emily Morrison, Chloe Morrison, Avery Bendickson, Sydney Bendickson, and Jacey Morrison. He also said goodbye to great grandchildren Ben Bresee, Brynnlee Baker, Landry Baker, and Luke Baker.
“Like a bird singing in the rain, let grateful memories survive in time of sorrow.”
