

Age 91, passed away on April 8, 2013 in Carrollton, TX. Born March 13, 1922 in Des Moines, IA to Earl and Ida (Rummel) Davis. Harold was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 62 years, Ellen Davis. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Banks and husband Harold of Carrollton, TX; son, David Davis and wife Tammy of Houston, TX; granddaughters, Jennifer Case and husband Brett of Carrollton, TX, Brenda Balthazor of Cumming, GA, Debi Moon and husband Keil of The Colony, TX and Lauren Davis of Houston, TX; great grandchildren, Kayla, Austin, Kimbra, Natali, Aaron, Katie and Koby; brother, Clarence Davis and wife Kay of Des Moines, IA. Harold was born and raised in Des Moines where he met the love of his life and future wife at the young age of 13. After high school, he went on to proudly serve in the United States Army during WWII and moved to Colorado after the war. Harold held a long career with Safeway as a meat cutter for over 40 years and then moved to Texas in 1997. He will be remembered for his outgoing and friendly personality. Harold truly never met a stranger and he valued the moments he shared with his friends and family. He also enjoyed Golf and loved animals, Dachshunds especially held a special place in his heart. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 5 – 6:30 pm with Funeral Services immediately following at 6:30 pm at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. Interment will take place on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 10 am at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
