With the deepest sorrow, we mourn the passing of Mr. Hovhannes Mouradian, beloved husband to Marie Karapetian, father to Vahram, and grandfather to Lilit, Armand and late David Mouradians. Hovhannes passed away peacefully on March 23rd, surrounded by his family.
In his 93 years of life, Mr. Mouradian left a profound and meaningful impression on the formation of many families in the Armenian community in early 90s. He led a life of accomplishment and benefaction that fortified numerous sprouts in Armenia and Dallas, and touched the lives of countless individuals with his wit, incredible stories, art, and of course political forecasts.
On April 3rd, the Mouradian family will hold a private funeral at St. Sarkis Armenian Church, 4421 Charles St., Carrollton TX 75010. Family and friends are invited for a visitation at 1:30PM at the church. The graveside service will take place at 3:30PM at Sparkman/Hillcrest Cemetery and Memorial Park, 7405 West Northwest Hwy, Dallas TX 75225, followed by a reception at the Hall of Lights of St. Sarkis Armenian Church, at 5:00PM.
As we contemplate the end of Hovhannes’ life, we also acknowledge that his role as an inspirational force to many Armenian families in DFW and beyond has not ended. On April 3rd, we will celebrate his exemplary life, and remember Hovhannes for his graceful qualities; for his role as patriarch of not only his immediate family but to all the branches of Mouradian family and the friends who followed the path carved under his leadership; for his legacy of lifelong good work. Everyone who knew Hovhannes will carry those memories, and be inspired by them, for the rest of their lives.
In the meantime, please help us plan the evening devotion to Hovhannes’ life by RSVPing to Lusine Meeks, Hovhannes’ niece, at [email protected], or 214.986.5876, if you plan to attend the funeral and the reception.
May our Lord grant peace to His son Hovhannes Mouradian.
