

Jack Lewis Ogilvie born on January 5, 1923 in Dallas, TX. He was born to the late Troy Ogilvie and wife Grace Finney Ogilvie. He is preceded in death by his dearly loved wife of 69 years, Evelyn Davis Ogilvie; his brother James Ogilvie, and his great grandson Miles Ogilvie. He is survived by his son Jack Lynn Ogilvie and wife Kimberley; son Ben Davis Ogilvie, son Scott Lewis Ogilvie. He was ‘Big Jack’ to his grandchildren Shelby and husband Jimmy, Jason and wife Paige, Cade and wife Brooke, Olivia, and Zachary; and great grandsons Madden and Major.
Jack and Evelyn settled in Dallas, TX after they wed and were devoted members of the Garland Road Church of Christ later the Highland Oaks Church of Christ. Jack was an extraordinary Fighter Pilot in the Air Force during World War II and was awarded The Silver Star and the Distinguished Flying Cross. In 1962 he founded and co-owned the Ogilvie-Tunnell Paper Company.
The story of Jack’s life was his kind, humble, and generous nature and intense passion for his faith, his wife & family, his friends, and his many hobbies.
Celebration Services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the CrossPoint Church of Christ, 3020 Bardin Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. Military Service and Internment at a later date.
