Born in Mannford, OK February 6, 1926 to Clarence W. Newell and Christine Bradfield Newell. James passed away peacefully on January 10, 2013.
A WWII Naval Veteran who served in the Pacific Campaign.
Schooled in Tulsa, OK and graduated with a Geophysical Engineering degree from The Colorado School of Mines in 1952.
A Geophysicist with Sun Oil for 40 years. Member of Society of Exploration Geophysics, National Model Railroaders Association and Great Northern Railway Historical Society.
Survived by wife, Lola Newell, two sons, Thomas Newell and David Newell; daughter, Paula Halford, son-in-law Mark Halford, daughter-in-law Dallas Newell and grand daughter Reagan Halford; Step-grandson, Irish Hancock and daughters Sydney Hancock and Kaitlyn Hancock.
