He was born on April 23, 1958 in Alameda, California To William L. and Delores F. Graves.
Jeff (as he was known to his friends) was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and Carrollton, Texas. He graduated from R. L. Turner HS in 1976 and studied at Eastfield College in Mesquite, TX in the Automotive Program.
Jeff made a career as a machinist and was an employee at Automatic Products in Garland, TX at the time of his death.
He married a fellow employee, Rose Mary Atilano, when they were working at Thorsen Tool Company in Dallas. They were married on March 18, 1983, and remained married until Rose passed away in 2018 at the age of 65. They were residents of Carrollton for most of their married life.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose, and his stepdaughter, Vanessa. He was survived by his brother Alan, and two grandchildren, Jessica and Julian, who live in the Dallas area.
