

JoAnn Bloom went home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2016. Born to Leonard & Emma White on July 31, 1935, JoAnn grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Putnam City High School. She attended Blackwood Business College where she met the love of her life, Eugene Bloom. She and Gene were married on August 27, 1955. They lived in Oklahoma City, Arkansas, and Ohio until making their final home in Plano, TX in 1986. JoAnn worked as a homemaker and a bookkeeper for Gene's auto repair service. JoAnn and Gene were blessed with two sons, Kevin and Keith.
JoAnn was a skilled seamstress, cook, church event organizer, and crafter. She created beautiful floral arrangements, center pieces, doll house furnishings, and custom decorative cakes. She loved cobalt blue, hot air balloons, castles, feeding the birds, paper weights, and genealogy research.
JoAnn is survived by her husband of 60 years, Eugene Bloom of Plano; their son, James Keith Bloom of Eufaula, OK; brother, Leonard White & his wife, Donna, of OKC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her son, Kevin Bloom; 3 sisters, Carolyn Boyett, Linda Kincaid, Betty Lou White; and her parents met her in heaven.
Funeral and interment services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK Monday, April 11, 2016 at 3 pm. A Memorial Celebration will be held at Bethany Bible Church in Plano, TX, date and time to be announced.
