On June 1st the world lost a proud father, loving husband, thoughtful son/son-in-law, considerate brother/brother-in-law, and cherished friend when Kenneth (Kenny) Lynn Adkison went to be in the arms of the Lord. More than three and a half years after being diagnosed with a brain tumor, Kenny ended his valiant struggle against the disease surrounded by his family at their home in Texas. He is the beloved husband of Paula (Beehler) and amazing father to Ainslee (10), Colton (7) and Joshua (4).
In addition to his loving wife of 11 years and their children, he is also survived by his parents Sherry and George Adkison of Oklahoma City, his sister Michele (Adkison) Kyser her husband Jeff and their children Chase, McKenzie and Rylee of Oklahoma City, Chuck and Sue Beehler of Colorado, Phillip and Vicki Beehler and their children Hannah and Charlie also of Colorado and numerous other relatives and friends.
Kenny was born on June 20, 1971 in Oklahoma City and graduated with honors from Puntam City West High School in 1989 where he played football and golf. He attended NW OSU in Alva where he played football as a safety and graduated with degrees in Accounting and Economics.
He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Oklahoma City and was most recently Assistant Contoller for Safety-Kleen in Dallas.
Kenny and Paula were married in August of 2001. They set up home in Dallas and settled into married life. They were blessed with their three children - Ainslee, Colton and Joshua who were the joys of his life. He was an active and involved father – participating in Ainslee’s Indian Princess YMCA tribe, helping Colton with his soccer skills or just tossing a ball with Joshua – Kenny loved his children deeply and enjoyed spending time encouraging and laughing with them. Kenny could often be found at gymnastics meets, on soccer fields, at Taekwondo and baseball games cheering each of them on.
Above all his family was what he valued most in his life. They rest confident in the knowledge they will be with him again in heaven.
