He observed the earthling ways and adapted well to all he encountered. But now he must begin the most awesome adventure of all with His Lord and Savior in heaven whom he accepted as leader of his life when 8 years old.
Ken is survived by his wife, Brenda of Garland, TX and his daughter April Duke of The Colony, TX, son Kyle and wife Jillian, along with children Cody and Lily of Little Elm, TX and son, Adam Duke and wife Stephanie, along with their children, Jacob and Haley of Frisco, TX.
Preceding him in death were his parents Tim and Martha Duke and his sister Cynthia Joyce Duke. He was blessed with a brother, Dennis and wife Lorna of Mart, TX and sister-in-law Linda Davidson and husband Fred of Ovilla, TX.
Ken left his family and friends with a love of reading, a love of science fiction, a love of soccer and a love of family. There were also many close cousins. He loved to sit and visit with them all at gatherings and reunions throughout the years.
He was a hard-working person who knew also how to enjoy his work. He shared many funny stories about his paper route happenings as a teen and working in a grain business at Paris Milling Company, Paris, Tx. Of course, he had much to say about working for Roadway Express Freight Line from part-time while attending Oral Roberts University to the 38 years he spent with them full-time in Dallas, TX.
On March 22, 1975 he married the love of his life, Brenda Watkins, of Grapevine, TX. They spent the next 50 years building their lives together raising 3 children, traveling, coaching soccer, teaching Sunday School classes for teenagers and adults and welcoming 4 special grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
