Mary Ann (Gibbons) Patrick, born July 11, 1935 in Fort Myers, FL and passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, September 28, 2016. She proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict, married and started a family. She had six children and endured the early devastation of losing her only daughter in childhood, yet maintained her faith and raised her five sons in an environment of love, devotion and of course brief periods of chaos. She also devoted her life to social work: helping and counseling within the Texas MHMR system and the Catholic Church. She was an outspoken supporter of progressive causes, an ardent animal lover, and a great admirer of Pope Francis.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her daughter, Catherine Lee; and her son, Kevin. She is survived by her sons, Michael, Sean, Theron and Bryan; and 8 grandchildren.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
