

S. Rickard Eriksson lost his 8year battle with Alzheimer’s on March 23, 2014 with his wife by his side. He was at home on the 3100 block of High Plateau Drive in Garland. S. Rickard also known as Richard was born on October 25, 1946 in Sweden to Karin and Erik Eriksson. Richard and his brother Jan came to the U.S. in 1982 to visit an aunt in Chicago. After a brief stay they came to Dallas. Jan returned to Sweden and Richard stayed here and went to work for Erickson Inc. in Richardson. He was laid off in 1997 and re-hired in 1999. He worked in N.Y and N.J for several years then was sold to EXI Parsons and came back to Richardson. On March 17, 1993 he met Sue Ann Troncoso; they were married September 4, 1993 in Kenton, Ohio on the 75th birthday of the bride’s mother. He was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Garland. He is survived by his loving wife Sue of Garland, TX; son, Magnus and wife Kathy of Durant, OK; stepsons, John Weist and wife Laura of Arlington, TX, Jerry Weist of Garland, TX; the Troncoso Family; and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded by his parents. He loved his family completely as well as his friends and he never met a stranger. Richard was always happy. He loved travelling, music, sailing, and his beloved cats. The family would like to thank Dan Fuller, Svetla Zlatanova, Debbie Harness, Cynthia Parker, the aids and nurses of Custom care hospice of Carrollton, for their loving care.
